- I think that teaching is fundamental in properly understanding the Holy Scriptures. Understanding God’s ways and His purpose in this age, as well as His plan for the future ages, requires a clear comprehension of The Word. The learning of religious studies and the Bible assist one in seeing the pattern, progression and unity of the Old and New Testament. In knowing doctrinal truths, chronological framework, historical basis and meaningful facts one validates the importance and the crucial need of the study of the Old Testament to the New Testament. In fact the whole of the Bible is unified by God’s covenant promises and relationship to Israel, which includes the Gentiles .Thus to live a more righteous and abundant life and fulfill God’s purpose in our lives one should develop a true context of God’s Word.
