As you can see by my page that unless you go into the local community and be part of there community and not just hide yourself in your church building where you become insular remember the commision the we were given go and spread my word so my challenge to all is are you active in your local community and spreading Gods Word to all or are you a no hoper where your church is decreasing in numbers and you dont know what to do re evaluate your ministry and go Forward with the Fire of the Holy Spirit and spread the word

Thanks for your reply. You made me think of Jesus' woeds in Acts 1:8. He said for us to go from Jerusalem (home) to Judaea (surrounding area) to Samaria (those unlike us) and to the uttermost parts of the earth. We can't do that if we never leave the 4 walls of our church.

I agree with your comment Very Rev Fr Canon Peter Dungey. We cannot wait for the people to come to church to hear the Word of God. We must get out into the community and allow the Word to be heard. So many don't come near a church because they feel that they are to imperfect to attend. If they only knew that we are all sinners and that Jesus died so that we can come boldly before the throne, the numbers would be higher. The only way for the throngs of people to know is by getting out of the four walls and spreading the Word. I see many church buildings, but where is the church? Where are today's apostles? Where are we that love God so much, but does not spread the Word? Again, I appreciate and agree with your post.
